Forward Deployed AI Engineer, Delivery & Operations (Contract)

Embed with a healthcare-research client's delivery and ops teams and rebuild the survey lifecycle around AI agents, from baselines to deployed agent-first workflows.

The client turns pharma, biotech, and medtech research requests into surveys fielded to healthcare professionals. Scale Army is placing a forward-deployed engineer to redesign that lifecycle around agents rather than bolting AI onto the old process.

The engineer maps the current workflow, sets measurable baselines, then designs, tests, deploys, and keeps improving agent-first solutions with document extraction, structured outputs, routing, and agentic task execution.

What you would own

• Map the survey lifecycle end to end, including handoffs, exceptions, and approvals.
• Set measurable baselines before automating.
• Design and build agent workflows with extraction, structured outputs, and routing.
• Integrate via APIs and webhooks and iterate after deployment.

What they're looking for

• Hands-on engineering experience building AI agents and workflow integrations.
• Comfortable embedding with non-engineering delivery and operations teams.
• Based in LATAM, Africa, or Eastern Europe and available 9–5 US Eastern.

Location: LATAM, Africa, Eastern Europe · 9–5 US Eastern. Hours: Full-time hours contract (9:00–17:00 EST). Pay: $4500–5000/mo.
