AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer (Contract)

Build AI agents, Claude skills, and production business software for SME clients on multi-month projects, after two weeks of paid training.

AssumeAI is hiring contract engineers at two levels: AI Engineer at £30/hr and Senior AI Engineer at £50/hr. Projects for SME clients usually run several months and range from AI agents and Claude skills to full business systems on Claude Code, Vercel, and Supabase.

New contractors get two weeks of paid training in the company's methods before their first project. The senior level requires complete products or systems you designed and shipped.

What you would own

• Build AI agents, Claude skills, and production software for client businesses.
• Design and build the databases behind client systems.
• Work with clients directly on calls, clearly and professionally.

What they're looking for

• Can read Python, JS/TS, SQL, HTML/CSS, and Bash.
• Confident with Git and GitHub.
• Senior level: shipped complete products or systems you designed.
• Nice to have: Claude Code, embeddings and vector databases, Vercel/Supabase.
• UK-based (remote).

Location: United Kingdom. Hours: Contract · multi-month client projects. Pay: £30–50/hr.
